The Games will be held for 17 days from Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 30, 2027. Some competitions may be held before the official period, so please check the Competition Schedule Page for the schedule of each sport.

The Games will be held across the Kansai region. For venues of each competition, please check the Venue List Page.

For the list of sports and disciplines, please check the Official Competition Page.

The Games provide the following three participant categories.
Competitors: Individuals who participate in competitions as athletes.
Competition Staff: Individuals who participate as team officials such as coaches, managers, etc.
Supporters: Individuals who do not participate in competitions but support or cheer for competitors and help energize the Games.

When entering, you will be asked to choose whether you reside in Japan or outside Japan. The residency categories are determined by your current place of residence regardless of nationality. However, Japanese nationals residing outside Japan may also participate under the resident-in-Japan category.

“Sport” refers to the categories listed on the Official Competition Page, such as “Track & Field” or “10km Road Race” within Athletics.
In this Games, the categories under each sport (for example, “100m” or “High Jump” within Athletics Track & Field) are referred to as “Events.”

As stated on the Games Entry Page, general entries are divided into three phases. If you apply during these periods, please check the announcement of results and the payment deadlines for participation fees.

February 28, 2027 (Japan Time). If the number of applications reaches the limit for a competition, entries will no longer be accepted even within the application period.

Our organizing committee only accepts entries online. We cannot accept applications sent by mail or other documents. Thank you for your understanding.

■ Residents outside Japan
Competitors: 34,000 JPY
Competition Staff / Supporters: 20,000 JPY

■ Residents in Japan
Competitors: 15,000 JPY
Competition Staff / Supporters: 5,000 JPY

* The fee is charged per participant regardless of individual or team competitions.
* Up to 5 events are included in the same participation fee. From the 6th event onward, an additional fee of 2,000 JPY per event will be required.
* Some events may require a special additional fee (extra fee).

Payment can be made by credit card or convenience store payment. For details, please check the Participation Terms and Conditions.
*No payment processing fee will be charged.

For general entries, the team leader who created the team does not need to invite members. Please share the Team ID with your members. Each member should complete their own entry and join the team by entering the Team ID when adding the competition.

Similar to competitors, please add competitions from “Add Competition” in your My Page.

If you registered as a supporter, you do not need to add specific competitions. Please proceed to the payment process from “Payment Information” in your My Page.

Please contact us through “Contact Us” in your My Page to request cancellation.

If you are only watching the competitions, entry and participation fees are not required. However, please note that viewing may not be possible depending on operational circumstances.

Only individuals aged 12 or older (as of April 1, 2027) may participate as Competition Staff or Supporters. Therefore, if your child is under 12 years old, an entry is not required.
However, if a child under 12 accompanies a parent or guardian who has applied to participate in the Games, the child will be permitted to attend ceremonies only. In this case, please notify us through “Contact Us” on your My Page and indicate that you will be accompanied by a child and the number of children.

Accommodation information is currently being prepared. Details will be announced on this website once finalized.

Showcase sports cannot be entered through the entry site. Since the entry method differs depending on the sport, please refer to the Showcase Sports Page, check the website of each event, or contact the organizing committee of the respective prefecture or designated city.
